چکیده

BACKGOUND: The prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and its specific autoantibodies varies in different populations. This variability depends on the genetic polymorphism immune response genes among which HLA system plays a major role. AIM: We conducted preliminary study distribution HLA-DRB1 HLA-DQB1 first field level alleles sample 100 Albanian patients with RA. METHODS: In this context, we studied first-level allele frequencies RA considering their factor (RF) anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (ACPA) serologic subgroups. compared them respective population 191 individuals without known pathology. RESULTS: No differences were found between controls patient group, but three statistically significant found: an increase DRB1*04 ACPA-positive, RF-positive ACPA-positive/RF-positive patients, decrease DRB1*11 ACPA-positive/RF-positive, also DRB1*13 DRB1 allotypes ACPA+ RF+ to counterpart ACPA− RF−patient subgroups showed predisposing effect HLA-DRB1*04 for ACPA RF seropositivity (p, respectively, 0.0008 0.0017) protective role HLA-DRB1*11 positivity 0.007 0.02). same from is HLA-DRB1*13 (p = 0.007). As far as DQB1 locus concerned, association has been HLA-DQB1*06 both 0.05 0.04) when comparing control group RF− subgroups, only detected difference was (+) (−) =0.04). CONCLUSION: relatively low high (DRB1*11 DRB1*13) might explain rather rate patients. Our demonstrates that DRB1*11, DQB1*06 may be negatively associated Conversely, confer susceptibility population.

Increase of HLA-DRB1*0408 and -DQB1*0301 in HLA-B27 positive reactive arthritis.

OBJECTIVE To study HLA class II association in reactive arthritis. METHODS 63 patients with reactive arthritis and 46 with rheumatoid arthritis were included in the study. HLA-DR alleles were determined by using a sequence specific PCR method. Oligonucleotide hybridisation was used for definition of DRB1*04 subtypes and DQB1 alleles. HLA-B27 was determined by standard microcytotoxity test or ...

HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 MHC Class-II Alleles and Breast Cancer in Jordanians

Cancer becomes one of the most wide-spreading diseases nowadays (Atoum et al., 2010), breast cancer is the most common female malignancy worldwide, and the second leading cause of cancer mortality among women (Downs-Holmes and Silverman, 2011) accounting for 23% of all cancers (Liang et al., 2008) with more than one million new patients are diagnosed annually (Watanabe et al., 2010). Genotyping HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 alleles in Japanese patients with normal tension glaucoma

PURPOSE Normal tension glaucoma (NTG) is a subtype of glaucoma in which intraocular pressure is within the statistically normal range. NTG may be associated with an immune disorder. The aim of this study was to determine whether specific alleles in the human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 genes correlated with NTG in Japanese patients. METHODS We genotyped the HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1...

No association between bronchial asthma and HLA-DRB1, -DQB1 alleles in the Slovak population.

109 patients (62 boys/men and 47 girls/women) suffering from bronchial asthma induced by pollen allergens were typed for HLA-DRB1 and -DQBl alleles, respectively, by a low resolution SSP technique. Frequencies of DRB1 alleles varied from 0.5 % to 16.1 %. The most frequent was HLA-DRB1*11 (16.1 %), the least frequent HLA-DRB1*09 (0.4 %). Occurrence rates of HLA-DQB1 alleles ranged from 2.3 % to ...
